The banding is strong in this one. Thankfully, f3kdb can fight it. Collateral damage was inevitable: a ceiling here, a wall there. They got smoothed a little. The Japanese TV broadcast and DVD both had the same banding, so I can’t blame the bluray authoring company/person for it.

Initially, I wanted to have lossless audio in wavpack format, but seeing the combined size of the four tracks (over 4 GiB) changed my mind. Vorbis -q 7 (aotuv) is Good Enough™.

I asked a few native speakers to help with the “foreign”-language subtitle tracks:
– Cuan checked the German subtitles.
– pio-mode checked the Italian subtitles.
– tyroz checked the Dutch subtitles.
Thanks a lot, guys!

The “full” subtitle tracks are all intented for the Japanese audio. In other words, there are no dubtitles.

That’s not really an excuse. Nobody in Japan besides IG can dither high-bitdepth video correctly — more than likely, the author of the BD did exactly the same thing.
